  • During protests outside a Manhattan immigration courthouse, Department of Homeland Security officers briefly detained a staffer in Rep. Jerry Nadler’s (D-N.Y.) office, accusing the team of “harboring rioters.” Video footage shows a DHS officer entering the office without a warrant, prompting objections from staff before ultimately being allowed to proceed.
  • Nadler later condemned the incident, calling it an example of the Trump administration’s “aggressive and heavy-handed tactics” and its broader effort to “sow chaos” nationwide. Nadler said that if it can happen to a staffer in a member of Congress’ office, it could happen to anyone.
  • Ukraine's SBU security service says it is conducting a "large-scale special operation" to destroy Russian bomber aircraft that attack Ukrainian cities nightly.
  • Over 40 Russian aircraft have reportedly been hit in the strikes, which were NOT disclosed in advance to the Trump administration, according to a Ukrainian official.
  • Ukraine smuggled drones into Russia, followed later by small wooden mobile cabins used to hide the drones under their roofs.
  • On Sunday, the cabins—mounted on trucks—were remotely opened, and the drones were launched at Russian military airfields.
  • Donald Trump reposted on Truth Social a post that says Joe Biden was executed in 2020, and clones and robots are what you have seen since. Yes, I am serious.

  • During Elon Musk's brief tenure as head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), he pledged to cut $1 trillion in federal spending but achieved only $170 billion, with the accuracy of these savings questioned. This shortfall led President Donald Trump to question the legitimacy of Musk's efforts, reportedly asking if it was "all bulls--t."
  • Seeking a pardon from President Trump has turned into a lucrative opportunity for lobbying and consulting firms with ties to his administration. Wealthy individuals hoping for clemency have reportedly been willing to pay millions to ensure their cases reach key decision-makers.
  • U.S. military officials estimate that repairing Washington, D.C., streets after the planned military parade for the Army’s 250th anniversary could cost up to $16 million. The event's heavy equipment and large-scale logistics are expected to cause significant wear and damage to city infrastructure.
  • On Meet the Press, House Speaker Mike Johnson falsely claimed, “There are no Medicaid cuts in the big beautiful bill,” calling the legislation “an important, and frankly heroic thing.” His statement contradicts independent analyses showing the bill includes significant reductions to Medicaid funding.
  • When asked by Kristen Welker if he only trusts the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) under Democratic presidents, Mike Johnson responded, “No. This is very easy to explain.” He claimed the CBO “sometimes gets projections correct,” but said it “always underestimates the growth” resulting from tax cuts and deregulation.
  • When asked by Dana Bash if his current actions are part of enacting Project 2025, Russell Vought replied, “No, of course not.” However, this denial is widely viewed as a blatant lie, given his documented involvement in shaping the project's agenda.
  • Senator Chris Murphy, responding to Senator Joni Ernst, said, “I think everybody in that audience knows they're going to die—they would just rather die in old age at 85 or 90 instead of dying at 40.” He emphasized that losing healthcare significantly increases the risk of dying prematurely.
  • Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick stated that President Trump’s 90-day pause for tariff negotiations is a firm deadline, despite a recent federal court ruling. Speaking on Fox News Sunday, Lutnick said, “Tariffs are not going away,” and added that if no deal is reached, “the president’s just going to determine what rates people have.”
  • President Donald Trump abruptly withdrew his nomination of tech billionaire Jared Isaacman to head NASA, citing a “review of prior associations,” according to CNN. The decision came suddenly and without further public explanation.
